Design Meaning:

This is the final design of our 3-part “Response Collection”, which walks the believer through the journey of faith:

1. Jesus is King - the first step to our walk is acknowledging who Jesus is - He is King and He is Lord. He is the ultimate authority in our lives.

2. Beloved child of God - this is the second step in our walk: recognizing who we are. We are not robots or far off distant creatures with very little relation to God, and who have to earn His love. We don’t earn His love, we are loved because that is who He is, and because we are His children by adoption. We have been grafted in as children of God. This identity realization helps to transform our minds and change the way we view ourselves, others, and the world itself - as well as eternity.

3. Living sacrifice - this is our final and ultimate response and purest form of worship: living a life surrendered and as a sacrifice to Him. He doesn’t NEED us to give Him anything. But He desires a relationship with us and closeness with us. As a person who acknowledges Jesus as Lord and King, and recognizing our identity as sons and daughters, we ought to live lives surrendered to His plan and sacrificially laying our lives down in obedience to His will because we know He cares for us and His plan is perfect. This design comes from Romans 12:1, which says “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational act of worship”.

Construction:

Material: Wool blend

Right-to-Front-to-Left Panel: "Living Sacrifice” jumbo embroidery that wraps from the right panel through the front panel to the left panel. “LS” puff embroidery in the center of the front panel standing for Living Sacrifice.

Brim: Reinforced embroidery stitching for a sturdy embroidery canvas. The curved embroidery on the brim says “This is my worship”, pointing to the fact that living our lives surrendered and as a sacrifice to the Lord is our most rational act of worship. Singing and praising Him is amazing, but we should also live lives surrendered to Him as another act of worship.
